Terms of Service
Last updated: February 27, 2026
Thank you for using cashegg! We build cashegg to help you take control of your finances, and these terms of service govern your use of the platform. When we say “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”, we mean Float Technologies, the company behind cashegg.
When we say “Service”, we mean cashegg, whether delivered via web browser, mobile application, or any other format. When we say “you” or “your”, we mean you as the individual or entity agreeing to these terms. By using cashegg, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Account Terms
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. cashegg cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
- You are responsible for all content posted to and activity that occurs under your account, including content posted by others who have access to your login credentials.
- You must be a human. Accounts registered by automated methods (“bots”) are not permitted.
- You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
- You must provide a valid email address to complete the signup process.
- You may not use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these terms.
Payment, Refunds, and Plan Changes
- cashegg offers a 7-day free trial. You are not required to provide payment information during the trial. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account will be downgraded.
- After the trial, cashegg is available at €9.99/month or €53.40/year (saving 55%). Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these terms.
- If you switch between monthly and annual billing, the new rate takes effect at the next billing period. You won't be double-charged.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods, not to the current one.
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes. We charge tax when required by law.
Cancellation and Termination
- You are solely responsible for properly cancelling your account. You can do this at any time from your account settings in the app. An email or phone request to cancel is not automatically considered cancellation — we need to verify it's really you.
- If you cancel before the end of your current billing cycle, your cancellation takes effect at the end of that cycle. You won't be charged again, and you'll retain access until the period you've already paid for expires.
- Upon cancellation, your content will be inaccessible from the Service immediately. All data is permanently deleted from our active servers within 30 days and from our encrypted backups within 60 days. Please export anything you want to keep before cancelling.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you by email before taking such action, except in cases of clear abuse.
Company-initiated cancellations
We may also cancel accounts under the following circumstances:
- Trial accounts that expire without upgrading: after 60 days.
- Accounts with repeated billing failures that remain unresolved: after 180 days.
- Inactive accounts with no login for 180 days: account and all associated data will be deleted.
- Accounts engaged in abusive behavior (see “Use Restrictions” below): immediately, without prior notice.
Use Restrictions
We recognize cashegg handles sensitive financial data. When you use cashegg, you may not:
- Collect, extract, or scrape data from other users' accounts or from the Service itself for unauthorized purposes.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service, including authentication, encryption, or access controls.
- Trick, defraud, or mislead us or other users, including making false reports or impersonating another person.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any type of malicious code or information collection mechanism.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Service, our servers, or the networks connected to it.
- Harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of our employees or other users.
- Use the Service in any manner inconsistent with applicable laws or regulations, including financial regulations.
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission.
- Use cashegg to provide financial data aggregation or similar services to third parties without our written consent.
Violation of any of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination. If you notice abusive behavior by another user, please report it to [email protected].
Modifications to the Service
We aim to support cashegg for as long as it helps people manage their finances. That means we sometimes need to change things — adding new features, improving existing ones, or occasionally removing something that no longer makes sense. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
For material changes that significantly impact how you use cashegg, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. If a change is not to your liking, you are always free to cancel your account.
Uptime, Security, and Privacy
- Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. We provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not offer a specific uptime SLA, but we care deeply about availability and work hard to keep cashegg running smoothly.
- We take many measures to protect and secure your data through backups, redundancies, and encryption. All data is encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS. Database backups are encrypted at rest.
- We never store your bank login credentials. Bank connections are made exclusively through GoCardless, a regulated Account Information Service Provider supervised by the French ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution).
- When you use cashegg, you entrust us with sensitive financial data. We take that trust seriously. No cashegg human looks at your financial data unless you give us express permission for a support case, or unless we are compelled by law. Access to customer data is restricted and logged for auditing.
- Our full Privacy Policy describes how we handle your data in detail.
Who Owns Your Data
- All data and content that you upload, submit, or generate through cashegg belongs to you. We don't claim ownership over any of it. This includes your financial data, transaction history, categories, budgets, and any other information in your account.
- You grant us a limited license to use your content solely to provide the Service — for example, to display your transactions, generate reports, and run AI-powered categorization on your behalf. This license ends when you delete your account.
- The person who originally signed up for the account is the account owner. We do not allow anyone other than the account owner to access or manage the account, unless the owner has explicitly granted permission.
- We do not pre-screen your content, but we reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
- cashegg, the cashegg logo, and all related names, logos, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Float Technologies. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
AI Chat Assistant
cashegg includes an AI-powered chat assistant that can answer questions about your finances, spending patterns, and account activity. This assistant is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes.
The AI chat assistant does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, legal counsel, or any other form of professional financial advice. Its responses are generated by artificial intelligence based on the data in your account and general knowledge. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
You should not rely on the AI chat assistant to make financial decisions. Always consult a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, or other relevant expert before making decisions about your money, investments, or taxes. cashegg and Float Technologies accept no liability for actions taken based on AI chat responses.
Financial Data Disclaimer
This is important, so we want to be clear: cashegg is a financial management and tracking tool, not a financial advisor. We do not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or any other form of professional financial counsel.
The information presented in cashegg — including account balances, transaction categorizations, AI chat responses, investment performance, spending trends, and net worth calculations — is for informational purposes only. AI-powered features including categorization and the chat assistant are provided as a convenience and may not always be accurate. Investment data may be delayed. Always verify important financial information with your bank or financial institution, and consult a qualified professional for financial advice.
Features and Bugs
We design cashegg with care, but some features may have quirks, and occasionally things break. We publish software updates regularly and work to fix bugs as quickly as possible. With your help — and the help of our support channels — we aim to keep cashegg reliable and useful.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be error-free. When we discover issues, we prioritize fixes based on severity and impact. We appreciate your patience and your bug reports.
Liability
We do our best to build a reliable and accurate service, but mistakes happen and things break. You acknowledge that Float Technologies is not liable to you or to any third party for damages of any kind — including but not limited to indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — that result from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service;
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein;
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service;
- Errors or inaccuracies in transaction data, categorizations, or financial calculations;
- Investment decisions made based on information displayed in the Service;
- Any third-party content or conduct accessed through the Service.
This limitation of liability applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, regardless of the legal theory, and whether or not Float Technologies has been advised of the possibility of such damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, in which case our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer protection rights that may apply to you under mandatory local law.
Changes and Questions
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
By accepting these terms upon signup, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to periodically review this page for updates. We recommend checking back whenever you see the “last updated” date has changed.
